6 sentenced in connection with Providence nightclub homicide

PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Attorney General announced that six of the eight defendants charged in connection in a nightclub homicide back in June pleaded guilty and were sentenced on three separate dates.
The 6 defendants are linked to the death of 28-year-old Stephan Cabral, after an altercation stemming from outside of Club Seven on Federal Hill, spilled into a Walgreen’s parking lot where he was fatally stabbed.
December 27, 2019:
Dayquon Stevens (27) pleaded guilty to one count of simple assault and battery and one count of conspiracy to commit a felony assault resulting in serious bodily injuries. Stevens was sentenced to 10 years with six to serve at the ACI and the balance suspended with probation.
Emery Page-Janarelli (26) pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit a felony assault resulting in serious bodily injury and one count of assault with a dangerous weapon (shod foot). Page-Janarelli was also sentenced to 10 years with six to serve at the ACI and balance suspended with probation.
January 2, 2020:
Antonio Fortes (29) pleaded guilty to one count of assault with a dangerous weapon (shod foot) and one count of conspiracy to commit a felony assault resulting in serious bodily injury. Fortes was sentenced to 10 years with eight to serve at the ACI and the balance suspended with probation.
Sequoya Reels-Felder (28) pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit a felony assault resulting in serious bodily injury and one count of simple assault and battery. Reels-Felder was sentenced to 10 years with eight to serve at the ACI and the balance suspended with probation.
Sharkym Brown (24) pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit a felony assault resulting in serious bodily injury and one count of simple assault and battery. Brown was sentenced to 10 years with six to serve at the ACI and the balance suspended with probation.
January 9, 2020:
Daniel Garcia (29) pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit a felony assault resulting in serious bodily injury and one count of simple assault and battery. Garcia was sentenced to 10 years with eight to serve at the ACI and the balance suspended with probation.
In addition to the six sentenced, two additional defendants have been indicted by the Providence County Grand Jury in connection with the homicide.
Jaquontee Reels-Felder (24) is facing a murder charge and Anthony Elderkin (29) is facing one count of assault with a dangerous weapon (shod foot), simple assault and conspiracy to commit a felony assault resulting in serious bodily injury.
Both of them are scheduled to appear in Providence County Superior Court on January 29
*Shod Foot is the stomping or kicking of a victim while the suspect is wearing shoes.
