3 hospitalized with ‘serious’ injuries after Middleborough crash

MIDDLEBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — Three people were hospitalized with “serious” injuries after a crash in South Middleborough on Dec. 1, according to the Middleborough police and fire departments.

Police and firefighters responded to a crash in the area of Highland and Spruce streets around 11 a.m. for reports of a crash.

Arriving first responders found two vehicles that were “heavily damaged,” with three people trapped.

Firefighters had to use rescue tools to free two of the occupants.

Officials said all three victims suffered “serious, but non-life-threatening” injuries.

One victim was flown to Rhode Island Hospital via MedFlight, and the other two were driven by ambulance to local hospitals.

Middleborough police are investigating the crash.
