City of Pawtucket says warming centers open for extreme cold weather
PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The City of Pawtucket said that warming centers would be available throughout the city for upcoming cold weather.
The following centers will be open for the listed times:
- Pawtucket Police Department Headquarters Lobby
- 121 Roosevelt Ave.
- Open 24 hours a day
- Pawtucket Public Library
- 13 Summer St.
- Monday through Thursday: 9 a.m. to 8:45 p.m.
- Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
- Sundays: 12 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
- Leon Mathieu Senior Center
- 420 Main St.
- Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Blackstone Valley Visitor’s Center
- 175 Main St.
- Open 1o a.m. to 4 p.m. daily
The city also said that seniors with heat-related concerns may contact the staff at the Leon Mathieu Senior Center at 401-728-7582.
