Milder feel ahead of our next round of showers
What a difference a day makes! We’re waking up in the 30s and 40s this morning, as opposed to the single digits and teens like yesterday morning. We’ll have some sun, but clouds increase along with temperatures in the afternoon (highs between 45-50 degrees) out ahead of our next storm. This next system will bring us a shower or two in the late afternoon, as well as showers and some heavy rain around 8/9 PM this evening. Lows overnight will be in the mid 30s.
After this system passes through Southern New England, high pressure settles in. As we make that transition between air masses, things will get a bit rocky. Winds will be incredibly gusty tomorrow, some getting upwards of 35mph. For that reason, we have a Gale Warning in place for the coast from 7AM Thursday until 1PM Friday. While we’ll see some sunshine in the morning, clouds will increase in the afternoon. Highs will only be in the mid to upper 30s, and with the wind, it’ll feel more like the 20s.
While note quite as windy, Friday will still be breezy and cold with highs in the mid 30s. It will, at least, be mostly sunny.
Saturday says chilly with highs in the mid to upper 30s and a mix of sun and clouds. Sunday we’re keeping an eye on a storm that will try to slide to our south. However, it’s just close enough that a light wintry mix is possible during the day.
