Cranston house fire under investigation

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — A house fire in Cranston is under investigation Thursday.
The fire happened inside a three story home on 1530 Cranston Street prior to 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Captain Ryan from the Cranston Fire Department told ABC6 News that eight residents lived in the home.
All the tenants were accounted for and no one was hurt. In addition, a dog was rescued from the first floor.
Captain Ryan says it took crews approximately 35 to 40 minutes to knockdown the flames.
At the moment, residents are not being allowed back in because of extensive damage from the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
