Car veers off road into retaining pond in Warwick
WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — A driver left the road Tuesday night and went into a small retention pond on Centerville Road, according to Warwick police.
The incident occurred when two vehicles traveling east on the road “came into contact with one another,” according to a Warwick PD statement.
One car then left the roadway and drove into the pond in the area of 250-300 Centerville Road.
The two occupants of the vehicle were able to climb to the roof of the car where they waited for assistance.
Warwick Fire Department personnel arrived in bringing the occupants back to land and no injuries were reported in the incident.
