Attleboro man identified as Provincetown plane crash victim

PROVINCETOWN, Mass. (WLNE) — An Attleboro man died after a plane crash in Provincetown on Jan. 4, according to Cape and Islands District Attorney Robert Galibois.

60-year-old Christopher Burroughs, of Attleboro, was identified as the victim of the crash.

According to Galibois, officials were notified a plane had crashed near the Provincetown Municipal Airport around 3:30 p.m.

First responders found the plane in flames, with the pilot still inside.

The pilot, later identified as Burroughs, was declared dead on scene.

Officials said Galibois was the only passenger on board the plane.
