Florida man sentenced for Fall River bank robbery, paper bag-written bomb threat
FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — A Florida man was sentenced Thursday for robbing a Fall River bank in 2025 after threatening the teller with a bomb.
41-year-old Domingo Agostini of Port Lucie, FL will serve two-four years in a state prison for the August 18 incident, according to the Bristol County District Attorney.
Agostini entered the Rockland Trust Bank at 855 Brayton Avenue at approximately 10:30 a.m. and handed a paper bag note to the teller reading “I have a bomb.”
He demanded $20,000 from the employee, and she handed over approximately $5,000 including a red dye pack.
The pack exploded as Agostini exited the building, and he fled in a black Nissan Rogue with Florida plates, according to surveillance footage.
He was located and pulled over by police in Providence shortly before 2 p.m. on August 18.
Agostini was wearing the same clothing as the robber’s description, and his hands were covered in red dye.
Cash from the bank was also in his possession.
