Scammers pose as non-existent “Massachusetts DMV” employees in new phishing scam

The Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles is warning customers about a new phishing scam.

According to RMV officials, customers have been getting texts from numbers claiming to be from the DMV directing them to click on a link to update their personal information.

However, there is no Massachusetts DMV.

The RMV does not send text messages to customers requesting personal information.
