Two people shot in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I.– Providence Police said two people were shot Tuesday morning.

According to police, the shooting occurred on Ayrault Street.

Authorities at the scene said that two females were transported with gunshot wounds.

Police are waiting for a search warrant to enter a residence on the street, officials said.

Providence Police did not share additional information about the shooting.
