City of Brockton honors boxing legend Marvin Hagler with statue
BROCKTON, Mass. (WLNE) – The city of Brockton honored boxing legend Marvin Hagler Sunday erecting a statue in his honor.
The City and State both declared Sunday ‘Marvelous Marvin Hagler Day.’
Hagler died unexpectedly back in March at 66 years old.
In his boxing career, Hagler had 62 wins and just three losses.
Some big names in attendance including ESPN’ Stephen A. Smith.
Hagler’s mother was also in attendance Sumday and got a plaque commemorating the occasion.
