Emergency vehicles cause traffic jam on 95-South

Lane closures on Route 95-South at Thurbers Ave. are causing a slow evening commute Tuesday.

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation confirmed the backup is caused by a crash in the right-center lane at Exit 18.

There are emergency vehicles blocking the right lane.

UPDATE: the crash has since been cleared.
