Massachusetts State Trooper relieved of duty after domestic assault

WRENTHAM, Mass. (WLNE)- A Massachusetts State Trooper has been relieved of his duties after being charged with domestic assault on Saturday.

Massachusetts State Police announced Monday that the trooper was immediately relieved of his duties once the department heard about the issue.

State police have opened an investigation on the incident, and there will be an internal hearing later in the week.
