Pawtucket police arrest two in May 15th homicide

PAWTUCKET, R.I (WLNE) – Pawtucket Police made two arrests in the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Leonardo Tavares.

On May 15, Leonardo Tavares was shot on Randall Strete just before 2:00 p.m.

Police arrived on the scene to find Tavares in his car with several gunshot wounds.

He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

On June 5, the Police arrested two males and charged them with the homicide of Tavares.

30-year-old Todd Alicea of Pawtucket was arraigned on Monday.

20-year-old Jahcolin Rodrigues is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday at Providence District Court.
