Two hospitalized after Richmond accident

RICHMOND, R.I. (WLNE)- Two people were taken to the hospital after a two car crash in Richmond on Sunday morning.

Police responded to reports of an accident at 500 Kingstown Road at about 6 a.m.

Both of the drivers involved were taken to Rhode Island Hospital, one was flown by med flight, the other was driven.

Police say that one driver suffered serious injuries and the other suffered minor injuries.

No one has been charged, but after preliminary investigation police say speed was definitely a factor.

Police say that a pole was also struck during the crash.
