Two teenagers saved off Narragansett Town Beach

NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WLNE) — Two teenagers were rescued off the shore of Narragansett Town Beach, Coast Guard officials said.
ABC6 News learned Narragansett Police reported around 4:43 p.m. Wednesday that two swimmers were in the water and needed to be rescued.
"Police officers using binoculars were able to observe two juvenile males in the water holding onto a body board," said Narragansett Police.
Narragansett Town Beach was closed for swimming earlier due to heavy surf.
Both swimmers, identified as a fourteen and fifteen year old males, were about 100 yards off shore, and were treading water until Coast Guard crews were able to rescue them around 5:20 p.m.
No word is available about their conditions at this time.
