Meals on Wheels discontinue weekend service

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island will discontinue weekend meal delivery starting next month.

The organization says lack of funding played a role in the decision.

Weekend food deliveries began last year and the service was popular.

They hope to reinstate the program in the future if money allows.
