Body pulled from Barrington pond

BARRINGTON, R.I. (WLNE) — A body has been recovered from Brickyard Pond in Barrington Sunday morning.

The Providence Journal reports the body was recovered at approximately 10 a.m. Sunday.

Police responded to a report of personal items found by the pond near Veterans Memorial.

The body appeared to have been in the water for at least 24 hours.

The cause is under investigation
