Police investigating teen shot in Central Falls

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WLNE)— A 17-year old male was transported to Hasbro Children’s Hospital after he was reportedly shot in the abdomen Friday afternoon.

Officers responded to Sumner Ave around 2:44 p.m., but the victim told Central Falls Police he was not shot at the location from which he was found and transported.

His condition is unknown at this time.

Detectives have launched an investigation to determine how the incident occurred.
