Police investigating man arrested for sexually assaulting child

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — A 50-year-old man was arrested after allegations came forward that he sexually assaulted a female when she was 5-years-old Cranston Police announced early Thursday evening.
Raymond J. Lisi, 50, of Cranston Street, Providence, RI, was arrested on July 9, 2017, and charged with two counts of first degree child molestation, and one count of second degree child molestation.
Back on May 31, 2017, authorities at the Cranston Police Department were contacted by Hasbro Children’s Hospital personnel, who advised that the unidentified victim had disclosed she was abused eight years ago by a relative’s boyfriend.
Upon investigating further, Lisi was identified, and was charged with first degree sexual assault upon the unidentified child.
Cranston Police continued to investigate over several months, and were able to identify another two possible victims, who claimed Lisi sexually abused them.
After his July arrest, Lisi was subsequently arraigned and held without bail.
The investigation into the other possible victims is ongoing.
