Dead turtle washes up on beach

SOUTH KINGSTOWN , R.I. (WLNE) — A dead sea turtle was found Wednesday morning on East Matunuck Beach in South Kingstown.

The site received a lot of attention from people who were there to watch the waves. Many of them stopped to snap pictures of it saying they had never seen such a big turtle in the area before.

There is no word just yet from officials as to what may have contributed to its death.
