Pawtucket man arrested on child porn charges while on bail for previous child porn charges

PAWTUCKET, R.I. – A Pawtucket man was arrested for possession and transfer of child pornography while on bail for previous child pornography charges.

Robert Barrie, 39, is currently on bail for production, possession, and transfer of child pornography, second degree child molestation, and video voyeurism.

Barrie was charged Wednesday with one count of possession of child pornography and two counts of transfer of child pornography after officials searched his home on a warrant that morning.

Investigators discovered a person sharing child pornography over the internet, and found the internet connection to be at Barrie’s residence.

Investigators searched Barrie’s residence and identified him as the owner of digital media used to possess and transfer child pornography.

Barrie was arrested in May of 2015 for possession and transfer of child pornography.

Barrie was arrested again later that month for second degree child molestation, production of child pornography, and video voyeurism.

He is currently awaiting trial for those pending charges.

Barrie was arraigned Wednesday and held on $50,000 surety with special bail conditions of no internet use and no unsupervised contact with minors.
