Man charged after breaking into two Woonsocket businesses

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) – A Woonsocket man has been charged after breaking into Empire Buffet and Crown Chicken on Diamond Hill Road.

Shawn Smith, 49, was charged with two counts of Breaking and Entering.

A Woonsocket Patrolman and his K9 tracked Smith’s location to nearby wooded area.

Evidence was found with Smith that linked him to the break-ins.
