Man injured when aircraft crashes through fence, hits parked car in Westerly

WESTERLY, R.I. (WLNE) – A man was injured Sunday afternoon when his aircraft went through the fence at Westerly State Airport and hit a parked vehicle.

The man was working on his aircraft at the time.

He sustained minor injuries.

The incident happened at approximately 4:00 p.m. and the airfield remained open.

Westerly Police and Fire are currently investigating the incident.
