Cranston grocery store re-opened after false bomb threat

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — A supermarket that was evacuated for a bomb threat that turned out to be false is now open, according to local police.
The Stop & Shop on Atwood Avenue in Cranston was evacuated around 1:30 p.m. Saturday when an employee received a call saying there was a bomb in the building.
Cranston Police and Rhode Island State Police responded to the scene. No legitimate threat was found.
The building was cleared and the building was re-opened around 3 p.m.
This incident is under police investigation, and the origin of the call is currently unknown.
