Man seriously injured after rollover accident

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A 21-year-old was seriously injured after his vehicle rolled over into a house on Murray Street in Providence just after midnight Saturday, according to police.

Providence Police say the man was driving at a high rate of speed down Murray Street when his vehicle hit a chain link fence near 71 Murray St., went airborne and hit an unattended parked car in a vacant lot beside the residence.

The driver was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries after being removed from the vehicle by first responders. No one else was injured in the crash.

There was no indication of alcohol use in the police report, so officials say it is unlikely to be a factor.
