Gas leak causes evacuations in Lincoln

LINCOLN, R.I. (WLNE) — Five homes have been evacuated as crews in Lincoln are working to contain a gas leak Friday afternoon.

Sources told ABC6 News the leak occurred on the corner of Winter and Church streets around 2:45 p.m.

Sections of Winter and Church Streets have been blocked off to traffic at this time.

National Grid was called to the scene to assist.
