Male shot in New Bedford, police investigating

NEW BEDFORD, M.A. (WLNE) — Police are investigating a shooting that sent a male to the hospital Thursday evening.

New Bedford Police said officers were dispatched to the area of Beetle Street around 7:50 p.m. 

An unidentified male was transported to Rhode Island Hospital. His condition is unknown at this time. 

No further information is available at this time.
