One person rescued from house fire in Cranston

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) – Cranston Fire crews are investigating the cause of a house fire on Harris Avenue.
According to Cranston Fire Chief Stephen Macintosh, the fire broke out at 111 Harris Ave. around 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
When crews arrived on scene, four people were in the multi-family residence and had to be evacuated..
Officials report one person was stuck inside and had to be rescued. That person was taken to the hospital for burn injuries.
“Firefighters found the victim in a room that was on fire and brought them out. They are in the hospital as we speak,” said Macintosh.
Macintosh said crews were able to get the fire under control in 15 minutes.
