Woman charged for hitting police cruiser in stolen car, fleeing scene

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — A woman was arrested after hitting a police cruiser with a stolen vehicle and fleeing the scene, police say.

Amanda Lasater, 32, of Kossuth Street, Pawtucket, was arrested on Tuesday after she crashed into a Pawtucket Police cruiser on June 2nd.

Lasater was arraigned in Providence District Court Wednesday morning, and charged with the following offenses:

  • Assault of a police officer (2 counts).
  • Possession of stolen motor vehicle.
  • Leaving the scene of an accident resulting in personal injury.
