WARWICK, R.I.— A new airline is coming to TF Green Airport. Allegiant Air will fly non–stop from Providence to Tampa/ St. Pete, Cincinnati, and Fort Myers/ Punta Gorda starting in fall 2017.

Tickets are already on sale online and start as low as $38.

"We’re thrilled. That is what we do at Allegiant—connect new communities together with fares so low that new folks can take a trip that they hadn’t been able to take before," said Brian Davis, VP of Marketing for Allegiant Air.

Allegiant marks the third new airline to introduce flights at the airport in just the last few months. Norwegian Air added flights from Rhode Island to Scotland and Ireland, and Frontier Airlines committed to fly from Providence to Florida as well as have direct service to Colorado. In total, 13 new non–stop destinations have been added.

"[It’s] undeniable that Rhode Island has momentum, that we are building our economy, that we are on the move and the state is strong and getting stronger," said Governor Gina Raimondo.

For one lucky person, Allegiant will be giving away free fights for a year to all the destinations they serve. To enter the sweepstakes visit: sunseeker.allegiant.com and register.
