Man arrested for robbing Laundromat twice

FAIRHAVEN, M.A. (WLNE) – A brazen thief returned to the scene of the crime not once, but twice.

Fairhaven Police say 26-year-old Christopher Bettencourt went back to the Tumble Time Laundromat Saturday after robbing it the night before.

An employee became suspicious Friday when Bettencourt started asking questions about business hours, and alerted police.

Police staked out the business Saturday night and when Bettencourt returned — presumably to rob them again — they were able to take him into custody.
