Over 210,000 hot dogs recalled after metal objects found inside packages

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Check your freezer before your Memorial Day cookout because a hot dog company is recalling more than 210,000 pounds of hot dogs.
John Morrell and Company announced the recall on Monday after customers found metal objects inside the packages.
The recall affects the 14 ounce packages of Nathan’s skinless beef franks, and the 16 ounce packages of the "Curtis Beef Master beef franks.”
The items recalled were produced on January 26, 2017.
The following products are being recalled:
• 14 oz. sealed film packages containing “Nathan’s SKINLESS 8 BEEF FRANKS,” with a Use By date of Aug. 19, 2017.
• 16 oz. sealed film packages containing “Curtis BEEF MASTER Beef Franks,” with a Use By date of June 15, 2017.
The products being recalled also have “EST. 296” on the side of the package.
The company received three complaints of metal objects in the hot dog packages.
So far no injuries have been reported.
Customers who have the hot dogs are urged to not eat them, and can return them for a full refund.
