State Police seize over 1000 oxycodone pills during traffic stop

WEST GREENWICH, RI (WLNE) – A Boston man is facing serious drug charges after Rhode Island State Police troopers seized a large amount of oxycodone during a traffic stop.

Eston N. Tavares, 34, of Annabel St., in Boston, was arrested after troopers discovered 1002 oxycodone pills with an estimated street value of $30,000, inside his vehicle during a traffic stop Thursday morning on I-95 North.

Tavares was charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance – oxycodone.
