WESTERLY, R.I. – A Westerly High School student is facing charges for allegedly giving tattoos to two of her friends on school grounds.
Police say the 15-year-old student used a makeshift needle to give the two minors a tattoo. School administrators were made aware of the situation on Friday.
The student is facing charges because it’s unlawful to give a tattoo to a minor in the state. The two girls who received the tattoos are 15 and 16 years old.
The students were cooperative when questioned by police.
Police say the minor facing charges will be seen in family court.
