North Smithfield resident spots black bear running through backyard

NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WLNE) — A North Smithfield resident saw a black bear running through his backyard on Sunday.
North Smithfield Police received the call around 6 p.m. from the resident on Buxton Street.
Police notified the Department of Environmental Management and tell ABC6 that there is no threat to residents.
