Be Advised: Ramp Closure Coming to Route 24 Northbound

FALL RIVER, M.A. (WLNE) – Massachusetts Department of Transportation is warning drivers to expect delays and reduced speeds due to an upcoming off-ramp closure.

Exit 8A on route 24 northbound to Airport Road will be closed overnight beginning Thursday evening at 9:00 P.M. and will reopen to traffic on Friday morning at 5:00 A.M.

Northbound travelers seeking to access Airport Road will be detoured to “Exit 8B (Innovation Way), travel west on Innovation Way, take the on-ramp to Route 24 south, and take Exit 8A onto Airport Road.”

MassDOT explains that the closure is “necessary to perform maintenance activities.”
