Westport Fire Dept. puts out storage garage fire

WESTPORT, MA (WLNE) – The Westport Fire Department responded to a structure fire late Friday night on Narrow Avenue.

Fire fighters arrived at 10:30pm to find a storage garage on the property fully involved.

It took 40 minutes to bring the fire under control according to Westport Fire Captain, Brian Beaulieu.

The Westport, Tiverton and Little Compton Fire Departments responded to scene.

Crews remained on the scene for another two hours.

An estimated $30,000 was lost in damages to the building and its contents.
