Man stabbed, robbed in Dexter Park

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Police confirm a man was stabbed and robbed in Dexter Park Wednesday night.

Police responded to an apartment near the park around 10 p.m., where they found a man heavily bleeding from his back.

The victim told police he went to the park to work out, when he was hit in the face by an unknown object and then assaulted by two men. Police say he was stabbed multiple times and then robbed.

The victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where he is in stable condition.
