GLOUCESTER, Mass. — A good Samaritan came to the rescue for one Massachusetts family when their boat hit a sandbar in Gloucester.
The impact sent the two parents and their 10-year-old son flying into the water.
A bystander, Christian Dagley, heard the Coast Guard’s emergency broadcast and sprang into action.
“They were hugging each other, shivering. They were cold,” said Dagley.
Dagley says he has been in touch with the family and they have since called him to thank him for coming to their rescue.
