Providence police searching for break-in suspect

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Providence police is searching for a man wanted in connection with a late night home invasion.
Officials responded to 27 Yale Avenue at approximately 10:30 p.m. Thursday night for a report of a break-in.
The female victim heard someone tampering with the rear door and armed herself with a knife.
The suspect then forcibly entered the home and an altercation ensued.
The victim sustained minor injuries.
The suspect then fled the residence towards the area of Mount Pleasant Street.
