TAUNTON, Mass. – Aaron Hernandez had no money left when he died, according to court documents made public Tuesday.

The documents from Probate Court say he had “no monies available” and did not have a will. All he had left of value was his Attleboro home on Meyer Drive.

Hernandez’s fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins Hernandez, has been appointed the representative of Hernandez’s estate.

Last week, a judge ruled to preserve evidence relating to Hernandez’s suicide.

Meanwhile, lawyers for the former NFL star filed a motion Tuesday formally asking Hernandez’s first-degree murder conviction to be dismissed.

Historically, Massachusetts courts have held that when a defendant dies before their appeal is heard, the conviction is vacated, Hernandez’s appeal hadn’t been heard yet.

He had been serving life without parole for the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd.

A spokesman for the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office says prosecutors are viewing the matter and plan to oppose the motion this week.
