UPDATE: Silver Alert cancelled for missing elderly man with dementia

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — An elderly man who was last seen in the area of Baylies Avenue in Porstmouth has been located, according to the Portsmouth Police Department.

Portsmouth Police and Connecticut State Police say the elderly man with dementia was reported missing on Thursday and may had been in Connecticut.

Authorities noted that one of 73-year-old Malcolm Almgren’s credit cards were found in Madison, Connecticut on Thursday.

Almgren was described as a white male, with a bald head and grey hair on the sides, and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing khaki pants, a blue pull over, and beige shoes.

Police say he is driving a 2006 grey Ford vehicle with a Rhode Island license plate reading DU 479, with an unknown destination.
