One dead following motorcycle crash in Narragansett, police investigating

NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WLNE)- A man has died following a motorcycle crash in Narragansett on Sunday evening.

Narragansett police are investigating the crash which happened on Ocean Road at around 5:30 p.m.

A motorcycle collided with another vehicle, leaving the motorcyclist in need of medical attention.

The motorcycle driver was transported to South County Hospital where he later died. He has been identified as Paul Courtemanche of Warwick.

According to police, a preliminary investigation indicates Courtemanche was traveling North on Ocean Rd. and “failed to negotiate the sharp curve” around Wildfield Farm Rd., crossed the double yellow and collided with a vehicle traveling south.

The crash is still under investigation.
