One hospitalized following overnight stabbing in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- A man was taken to the hospital after being stabbed in Providence on Monday night, according to police.

The Providence Police Department said that the victim was stabbed on the second floor of a multi-family home on Superior Street at around 11:30 p.m.

Investigators say they are looking for a male suspect.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery.

The incident remains under investigation.
