Target recalls water-absorbing Easter and Dino toys

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Target has announced a recall of water-absorbing Easter and Dino toys fearing serious ingestion hazards Thursday afternoon.

Consumers are advised to immediately take the recalled toys away from children, and return them to any Target store for a full refund.

Authorities say if the small toys are ingested, they can expand inside a child’s body and cause intestinal obstructions.

This would result in severe discomfort, vomiting, dehydration and could be life threatening.

If ingested, surgery is required to remove the toy from the body.

Medical professionals noted that parents should be aware that there is chance that the toys might not show up on an x-ray.
