Tropical Storm Henri’s strong winds knock over storm watcher in Narragansett

NARRAGANSETT, RI (WLNE) – A  Providence man was served a painful reminder of how dangerous tropical storm conditions can be.

John Gonsalves couldn’t resist the urge to take some photographs of the storm but unfortunately for him the high winds got the better of him.

“I tried to take cover behind there just to get some photos and a gust must have just taken me out,” John Gonsalves said. “I took it, took a header, but think I’m all right.”

Gonsalves had some scratches around his left knee but he was otherwise okay.
