FREETOWN, Mass. (WLNE)- Freetown Animal Control is looking for the owner of a roaming ‘meat pig.’

Animal control posted to its Facebook page about a pig that had been seen roaming the Forge Road area for the last four days.

The area is a good spot for the pig to be living aside from being near a main road, according to Animal Control.

There is water nearby and thick brush for it to live in.

Animal control has put together a plan to capture the pig, once they do so they’ll have to hold it for 30 days before putting it up for adoption.

They are encouraging anyone who is driving on Richmond Road, Forge Road, and Walnut Street to use caution.

Anyone who sees the pig should contact Freetown Animal Control at 508-386-5227.
