Man arrested after assaulting doctor with a pipe in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Providence police have arrested the man who assaulted a doctor and her husband with a pipe on Sunday morning.
Officials arrested 34-year-old, Kevin Colon, of Pawtucket, just hours after the assault.
Colon is currently being held without bail, after violating prior bail terms from another assault.
The other assault happened on August 10 on River Drive, where police said that he committed another random attack.
A man told police that he was walking across the street when a car nearly hit him.
The man said that the driver of the car, Colon, got out and started attacking him unprovoked.
Colon and the victim both ended up in the Seekonk River, as several witnesses looked on.
The victim said that after the incident Colon got back in the car and drove away from the scene.
