A Providence school bus driver was arrested at JFK airport for allegedly killing her boyfriend 26 years ago.
Police say 48-year-old Zunilda Rosario was coming back from vacationing in the Dominican Republic when she was detained.
In 1990, Rosario’s boyfriend was found with several gunshot wounds in Rosario’s Manhattan apartment.
The cold case was reopened after a witness came forward, claiming to be at the murder scene.
Rosario has been a bus diver for First Student in Providence for nearly 15 years. She has been suspended from her job pending investigation.
Rosario is being charged with murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and two counts of illegal use of a firearm.
